WELCOME TO OUR JAMES OGLETHORPE PRIMARY SCHOOL PARENTS ASSOCIATION (JOPSPA)
JOPSPA is dedicated to raising funds and fostering a strong community spirit within our school.
Our children are only at school for a relatively short time. By involving every parent as a member, we create a variety of opportunities to support our children's education and school events.
These events put smiles on their faces and create lasting memories.

Where does the money we raise go?
The quick answer is right back into school and to our children. We work closely with the school to see how our funds can improve the quality of our children's education and their overall school experience. Here are just a few examples of how the money raised has been enjoyed by the children.
How can you support JOPSPA?
These events wouldn’t be possible without the support of parents, but we are very aware that we all lead busy lives and time is precious! For this reason there are many ways parents can support us, with varying levels of involvement to suit.
- By attending events throughout the year and encouraging and supporting your child to participate with competitions and sponsorships
- By signing up to our easyfundraising scheme or participating in our School Lottery (details below)
- Be involved with the planning or running of one of our events. This can vary in levels of involvement from as little as wrapping some gifts for an event, right through to running an event
- Join our JOPSPA Team – even an hour a year is helpful!

All JOPSPA volunteers are required to have a valid DBS certificate, in keeping with the school's commitment to safeguard our children - we can help you with this.
